Was so pissed today!

All day all I wanted was a simple text that read, “Hey, thinking of you! Happy Valentine’s day! Wish you were here” because the dude I’m seeing is on a business trip this week.  I waited and waited and waited.  Teachers kept getting flower deliveries and kept NOT coming to pick them up so I had to stare at all of these stupid flowers and was getting upset that they couldn’t be bothered to get them!  I was a slave to my phone to see if the boy had decided to even say ‘hey’ because at this point, I would have been content with a simple ‘hey.’  4 o’clock rolled around and Gary, the UPS guy came in with yet more flowers.  I’m sure he saw my annoyed face at all of the stupid boxed flowers.  Here is the convo that occured:

Gary the UPS guy: Viv! Looks like Jonathan Toews finally came through for you on Valentine’s Day!

Me: Ha.Ha.

Gary the UPS guy: No seriously, these are for you, you need to sign here.

Me: Wha-!? *reads my name on the box in utter disbelief* Oh…

Gary the UPS guy: Open them, I wanna see them!

Me: They’re probably from my mom *Opens the box and reads the card that says “Thank you for being so amazing—Joe* Oh…they’re…from…Joe…

Gary the UPS guy: Is this Joe a good guy?

Me: *Nods dumbly and feels face turn red*

Just realized I didn’t have my Ask box open! EEP! It is now! Here goes nothing!

My best friend is dating a total and complete douche bag and she cannot see it!  He demeans her, talks down to her, and treats her so poorly.  I cannot stand him and he has her completely and utterly snowed in.  The only way I can see him out of the picture is if I introduce her to another guy who holds some chemistry with her.  Honestly, she’s gorgeous, so smart, getting her phD in psychology, super funny, super silly, loves the Sox, loves football, loves cooking, loves laughing, loves Family Guy, is family oriented.  If anyone knows of any guy (ages 23-29, in the general Chicago burbs area—we are in Wheaton) who is not bad looking, searching for a relationship, and willing to simply meet this amazing girl, please message me!  I’m not expecting any miracles, just wanting my friend to see that there are great guys out there who would treat her right and give her the attention she deserves.  Since grad school consumes her life and she is no longer ‘looking,’ it’s not so easy for her to meet these guys that I know are out there.
